Joyce Maye Hayes

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Joyce Maye Rasmussen Hayes passed away on January 27, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah, after a valiant battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

Joyce was born May 15, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Albert Rasmussen and Ivy Lillian Wiggins Rasmussen.

She attended public schools in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from West High School in 1956.

Joyce worked for Mountain Fuel Supply Co. (Questar Gas) retiring in 1995.

She married Robert Wilson Hayes on November 21, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Ogden Utah Temple.

Joyce was an active member of the LDS Church, having served faithfully in callings in Relief Society, Primary and Sunday School.

Joyce loved her family and spent wonderful vacations together at Disneyland, other parts of California, and the beautiful Oregon Coast.

Survived by husband, Bob, children, Kristi Hayes, Jeff Hayes, step children, Cindy Hayes, CoLene Wood, Robert S. Hayes, and Mark Hayes. 12 grandchildren, sisters, Lynn Pieros and Nola Sanford, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Rosemarie Anderson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the service.
