Joyce Nelson Haacke

“Our Angel”

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and

friend passed away on October 8, 2015. Joyce was born to Glen and Nellie

Nelson on April 15, 1933 in Kaysville, Utah. She married her eternal

companion, Cornell Haacke in the Salt Lake Temple on November 21, 1952.

Joyce enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and making sure her family was well fed

at all times. She was a lady of many talents with her poetry, baking, theme

parties, flowers, and her generous heart. She had an endless love and concern

for the people in her life and was always there for support and to be the best

listener ever. She enjoyed serving her church in her many years of callings.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Cornell Haacke, and their 12

children; Christy (Darrell) Veenendaal, Gayla Quilter, Joni (Lee) Willis,

Jana (Tim) Lawson, Shauna Dalton, Jay (Tammy) Haacke, Julie (Ricky)

Long, Joel Haacke, Kelly (Andrea) Haacke, Jamie Haacke (Michael), Tracy

Haacke, and Stephanie Haacke. As well as 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

and support these last few weeks.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Russon Brothers

Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11:00 am, at the

Bountiful North Stake Center, 1540 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. A

viewing will be held there prior to the service from 9:45 am – 10:45 am.
