Judith Ann Peterson Pratt returned to her heavenly home on July 8, 2022. She was born on April 10th, 1941, to Kenneth William Peterson and Lana Fern Taylor in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Judy grew up on a farm in Shelley Idaho, graduated from Shelley High School in 1959 then attended Idaho State College in Pocatello where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Judy met Gerold Wayne Pratt at an institute dance at Idaho State College and they were married August 26, 1964, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Gerry and Judy brought six sons into the family.
Judy continued her education earning a master’s degree from Brigham Young University in Nursing and became an Associate Professor in Community Nursing at Weber State University where she worked for many years.
She loved to travel with her spouse and grandchildren and visited many places around the world. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and leaves behind a legacy of hard work and an adventurous spirit to her children and grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her six sons David “Wayne” (Rita), John (Jenni), Phillip (Candice), Gerold “Mike” (Alisa), Kenny (Saranya), Joseph “Alan” (Amy), 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as three siblings Margaret Kennelly, Paul (Debbie) Peterson, Robert (Nancy) Peterson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15th, 2022, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful, UT 84010, where a viewing will be held Friday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be held at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.
