Judith Deppe

September 9, 1944 — July 9, 2014

BOUNTIFUL, UT. Judith (Judy) Ann Snyder Deppe passed away peacefully Wednesday evening at North Canyon Care Center after many years of enduring health issues incident to diabetes.
Judy was born in Salt Lake City, Ut. to Ora Mae Miner and Karl S. Snyder and was the youngest of 8 children. With parents in their 40’s and with a considerable age difference between her and her next oldest sibling she enjoyed being raised almost like an only child with lots of help from her loving parents and older siblings. Judy from her earliest years loved having and caring for her pet cats. She always had at least one cat during her entire life. While growing up, having older adult siblings gave Judy the opportunity to travel to and live with most of them during summer breaks and vacations. Her nieces and nephews were close to her age giving her a love and appreciation for having a large family.
Judy graduated from Bountiful High Class of ’63 and didn’t let much time go by before starting her own family. She was engaged to her neighborhood sweetheart, Lawrence Kay Deppe in April 1963 and was married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on August 9th 1963. Her first two daughters were born in April. April officially became a special month for Judy and of course
a popular song at the time by Pat Boone was “April Love” and became the theme song of her marriage.
Judy raised 6 wonderful and loving children, 5 daughters and 1 son, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Homemaking, cooking, crafts and giving her all for her children was the occupation of her life. Whatever she did she wanted to make it special. Judy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Whatever her calling she served faithfully. She served in leadership positions in Primary and Relief Society organizations and loved those callings; especially, Primary where she developed lifelong friendships.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Betty, Bob, Dorothy Carol, Marilyn and Richard; son-in-law, Bryan F. Montgomery.
Survived by brother, James Snyder; daughters, Dianna Montgomery, Marilyn (Jeff) Porter, Lisa (Dave) Jackson, Julie (Quentin) Ford, Emily Deppe, and son, Jeremy (Julien) Deppe.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014, at 2:00 pm at the Bountiful 30th Ward Utah East Stake House, 2150 South 650 East, Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm just prior to the funeral services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
