Judy Lowe Chamberlain

November 21, 1947 — August 22, 2012

Our loving and compassionate wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Judy Lowe Jensen Chamberlain, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2012. She was born in Inglewood, CA, on November 21, 1947, to Jay Cleve and Leah Lowe Jensen. They preceded her in death.
Judy moved with her family to Ogden Utah, where she attended school, graduating from Ogden High in 1966. She then attended Weber State where she met her husband, Robert Eugene Chamberlain. They were married on September 12, 1968, in Ogden. In April 1972, they were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple.
In 1980, Judy and Bob moved to Centerville and she felt that Centerville was home. It was there that they raised their five children. She was a full-time home maker and devoted all of her energy to her family. She especially enjoyed being a grandma.
Judy was a volunteer at Lakeview Hospital for many years. She also served on the auxiliary board as well as served as president for two years. In 2008, she was awarded the Frist Award for her humanitarian service at Lakeview Hospital, Festival of Trees, and the Utah Food Bank.
Always very proud of her heritage, she enjoyed family history and was a member of the Barnard Creek Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (D.U.P.)
Judy loved to travel when accompanied by her entire family – especially to Disney resorts & cruises and Yellowstone. She also loved to learn new skills and took up piano at the age of 62.
Judy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a strong testimony of her Savior. She loved her many callings and especially enjoyed teaching Sunday School. She was called as a missionary at the LDS Conference Center in April 2011.
Judy is survived by her husband; children, Robert (Kayla) Chamberlain, Kristi (Craig) Kerbs, Brad (Laurie) Chamberlain, Ben (Natalie) Chamberlain, and Michael (Jennifer) Chamberlain; brother Jay (Gay) Jensen and sister Sheryl Stephenson; all of her very special grandchildren, Chase, Aspen, Macie, Zachary, Paden, Megan, Sarah, Mylie, Hadlie, McKinley and Lexi; as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.
