Julene Anderson

July 29, 1939 — June 15, 2011

Julene Marie Anderson, our loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully away in her home surrounded by her loving family on June 15, 2011. Julene was born on July 29, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clyde William Campbell and Audrey Duke Campbell. Julene was the second of five children and had many fond memories of growing up in South Bountiful. She had the opportunity to attend Springfield High School in Illinois, Boise High, and Bountiful High where she graduated. Following high school Julene moved back to Boise in order to attend Boise Jr. College. It was here that she met her sweetheart, Kay Anderson. They were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on November 28, 1958. They were blessed with four children. Julene loved her family and loved serving in the church. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she had the opportunity to serve as a temple worker, Primary President, Young Womens President and counselor, Relief Society counselor, visiting teacher, and a teacher in each of these auxiliaries. She spent her life in service to her family and others leaving her family with a legacy of service. In addition to her church service, she served as a member of the PTA multiple times throughout her childrens school years. She also was a strong supporter of Kay as President of the CPA Ladies Auxiliary and a member of LaSertoma and an officer in Philomathean service clubs. She loved crafts of any kind, particularly sewing, painting, and stitching. She enjoyed reading and working in the garden. She loved family reunions, spending time with her grandchildren, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the time she spent working at Bountiful High School and the Davis County Health Department. Julene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kay L. Anderson, her parents and her brother, David Campbell. She is survived by her children, Sheryl Anderson; Jeff (Saundra) Anderson; Lori (Ron) Beckstrand; Jill (Robert) Talbot; 14 grandchildren, Lindsey (Preston), Justine (Josh), Talon (Nicole), Shaelyn, Mikall, Logan, Chase, Tara (Karl), Ryan, Garen, Sadie, Trent, Megan, and McKay, and 5 great grand-children Emma, Ella, Grace, Landon, and Adalyn who will miss their Gawk; and her siblings Linda (Leonard) Eversole; Joel (Linda) Campbell; Kay (Terry) Hansen; and Nancy Campbell. The family would like to thank all those in Julenes dinner group and Plan B group who have loved and supported her throughout the years. We also wish to thank Russon Brothers Mortuary for their tender service on behalf of this great lady. We also express our gratitude to the the Huntsman Center, Dr. Glenn and her staff, Rocky Mountain Hospice, specifically Liz and Stephanie, who rendered tremendous care on Julenes behalf. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Bountiful Hills Ward Chapel 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive, Bountiful. Viewing services will be at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 N Main, Bountiful Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M. and at the Bountiful Hills Ward Monday from 9:30-10:30 prior to the services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
