Julie Ann Wickham Sawyer

Julie Ann Wickham Sawyer died on Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Bountiful, Utah, from complications of liver disease.  She was 71.

Julie was born on January 23, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her Parents were John Henry Wickham II and Betty Lou Vavra Wickham. She graduated from Panguitch High School in 1970. Julie married her high school sweetheart, Bob Sawyer, on November 29, 1969. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 54 years. Julie and Bob lived in Bountiful, where they raised their two children, Jeff and Amy.

Julie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. She worked many years doing upholstery work, with her last job ending in March 2023. She was an excellent seamstress and many of her family and friends benefited from that talent.

Julie enjoyed sewing, genealogy, scuba diving (in her earlier years), helping others, traveling, and just staying up-to-date with her friends and family. She seemed to be the “glue” of her extended family. She was loved by all those who knew her.

Julie is survived by her husband, Bob Sawyer of Bountiful, 2 children - Jeff Sawyer (Becca) of Farmington, and Amy Sawyer  (Samuel Browning) of Maricopa, Arizona, 2 granddaughters – Lydia Sawyer and Zoey McGinnis, 2 sisters - Gloria Olds of Bountiful, and Beverly Shellabarger (Gary) of Brigham City, 2 half-brothers - Jerry Wickham (Allison) of West Valley City and Jon VanAllen (Joy) of West Jordan. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, John Wickham II and Betty Vavra Wickham Cooper, and a brother – John Wickham III.

There will be a viewing at the Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside Service and Interment will be on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the Hatch Cemetery in Hatch, UT at 3:00 p.m.
