Julie Briggs passed away December 31, 2022, at the age of 80. Mom was born on October 1, 1942, to Lawrence and Helen Briggs in Salt Lake City. Julie grew up in Bountiful where she graduated from Bountiful High School in 1960. She graduated nursing school and became a nurse to Dr. Phillip Bryson for 15 years.
Julie had 3 children and mostly raised them as a single mother. If you knew Julie then you were familiar with her love of sports, all sports. She even served as a Ward and Stake Sports and Camp Director in the Young Women's.
Mom was a wonderfully talented crocheter, and many family members, friends and loved ones were recipients of her beautiful Afghans.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Brother Craig, Sister Bette, Brother in Law Mike Rasmussen, son Todd and daughter Lesa. I can only imagine the reunion she had with them.
Julie is survived by her daughter Teri and brother Bruce Briggs, as well as 11 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
Mom will be missed by many.
I would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Barton Creek and Cascade Springs Home Health and Hospice.
