June Allen

June Howard Allen died seven days short of her 92 birthday on June 2, 2014 of natural causes. Born June 9, 1922 in Bountiful, Utah to Harold Rose Howard and Gladys May Hatch, the only daughter of two children. She married Collier Lister Allen on November 10, 1944 in North Salt Lake; solemnized August 16, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. June and Collier were the parents of 5 children.
She was a loving wife and mother.
June’s life has always exemplified service to others. She spent many hours serving in the LDS Church and supporting Collier as he served. They had an opportunity to serve a full time church service mission for the Family History Center in Salt Lake City which was a great experience for both of them.
She is survived by her children: Colleen (Dennis) Johnson, Yacolt WA; RaNae (Vern) Christensen, Mona, UT; Mark (Susan) Allen, Elberta, UT; Sheri (Gary) Skipton, Muscatine, IA; and Bevan (Stacey) Allen, Taylorsville, UT. They have 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2014 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where a viewing (closed casket) will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
