Karen Riley Ford

Karen Riley Ford passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 13, 2016. Karen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 15, 1939 to Samuel Lloyd Riley and Claudine Williams Riley. 

Karen grew up in Bountiful and lived there for almost her whole life. She loved Bountiful and was a proud to be a part of the first graduating class of Bountiful High School in 1957.  

Karen married her Sweetheart, Robert Lambert Ford, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on July 2, 1959. They raised seven children together. Karen loved her family and especially family parties.  She loved all of the holidays and hosting dinners for her family, friends, and neighbors where she would always  set and decorate a beautiful table.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents: brothers, Richard Riley and Ronald Riley; son Jeffrey R. Ford and his wife Julie Ford; and great-grandson Owen McLachlan.

Karen is survived by her husband Robert: children, Brad, Mark (Janalee), Scott (Shawna), Jayne (Lyle), Craig (Sarah) and Susan; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, located at 295 North Main Street on Thursday January 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be held on Friday January 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Canyon Park Ward located at 1190 E. Bountiful Hills Dr., Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. Interment – Bountiful City Cemetery
