It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Smith, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and friend, who gracefully transitioned from this world on January 14, 2025, her birthday, at the age of 61. Karen, born on January 14, 1964, in Belize, spread love and joy wherever she went, always embodying beauty in both spirit and demeanor.
As a devoted mother to her four cherished children—Anthony Hood, Coretta Wilson, Kristina Smith, and Kristopher Smith—Karen's love knew no bounds. She was a guiding light and a source of unwavering support for her family, instilling values of kindness, strength, and resilience in each of her children. She touched their lives with her boundless affection, nurturing them with warmth and encouragement.
Karen was married to her devoted husband, Kenneth Smith, who was not only her partner but also her best friend. Together, they crafted a life filled with shared dreams and meaningful memories. The love they shared was evident in both the quiet moments at home and joyous time spent with family.
Known for her incredible culinary talents, Karen expressed her love through her cooking. With every meal she prepared, she infused her warm heart and vibrant spirit, bringing family and friends together around the table. Her home was a sanctuary of laughter, stories, and the delicious aromas of her kitchen.
A celebration of Karen's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1540 N 400 E in Bountiful, Utah. We invite all who knew and loved Karen to join us in honoring her memory and sharing the light she brought into our lives.
