Karl Elmer Nielson

Karl Elmer Nielson passed away December 12, 2016 at his home in Bountiful, Utah. He was born in Hawaii April 11, 1941 to Reed and Beal Nielson. Karl was retired from the United States Marine Corps, Vietnam Vet and went on to retire as RN Nurse with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.  He spent his whole life serving his fellow man.
Karl is preceded in death by his parents, Reed and Beal Nielson, his wife, Jan Nielson, step-daughter, Jana Brotherton, and grandsons, Trevor Nielson and Troy Nielson.
Karl leaves behind his sister, Rebecca Anderson; sons, Thomas Nielson and Ted Nielson; step-son, Kevin Brotherton; and all his grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. A viewing will be held from 11:30-12:45 prior to services at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah.
