Kasey Robert Cleverly passed away on 12/12/2013, just 4 days shy of his 24th birthday, from complications of Cystic Fibrosis after his courageous lifelong battle with the disease. Kasey graduated from Hunter High School in 2008 with honors and was attending Salt Lake Community College. He was an accomplished baseball player during his teenage years, and later represented Hunter High School as their top golfer. The friends and memories he made during those years were always special and Kasey would reflect on them often. Kasey’s favorite pastime was to golf, especially with his favorite golf buddy and grandfather, Bob. We will always remember Kasey for his positive attitude and unique sense of humor that could always spark a smile in others.
We are especially grateful to the Primary Children’s and U of U hospitals for the special care given to Kasey for many years. The Pulmonary Function Testing team, PFT Hags, as they were affectionately known, respiratory therapists, doctors, and nurses treated Kasey with considerable patience and love. Kasey is survived by parents Gary and Jill, siblings Cody (Stephanie), Christian, and Corinne, and grandparents Bob and Sherrie Trujillo.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 16, 2013 at the LDS Stake Center, 3599 S. Orchard Drive, NSL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Primary Children’s Hospital, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or Make a Wish of Utah, all of which were very influential in improving Kasey’s quality of life.
