Kathleen Hawkes

Our Loving mother returned to her Heavenly Home on September 24, 2019. Kathleen was born April 29, 1951 to Lorin Jones and Neva Cardon Hawkes. Kathleen grew up in a loving home in Bountiful Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In her youth, Kathi excelled in many of the youth programs and held many callings in the church throughout her life. She was a graduate of the class of 1969 at Bountiful High School where she was president of the dance club and participated in many high school activities.

Kathi had a love for dance and began dancing ballet at an early age. She had a love for crocheting. She crocheted many blankets for family members, especially her grandchildren. Her smile was contagious and would always light up any room. If you knew Kathi, you knew she had a love for cooking. Some of her favorite desserts were:  English Toffee, Fudge, Christmas Caramels, her famous Apple Pie and Hot Chocolate.

Kathi is preceded in death by her loving parents, Lorin Jones and Neva Cardon Hawkes. She is survived by her children: Tanya (Luis) Orbezua, Branden Black, Duke (Ashley) Black, Zach (Lyndsey) Black, Colt Black and 12 beautiful grandchildren. She is also survived by her husband of 9 years, Timothy Griffith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Bountiful 19th ward, located at 1540 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah with a viewing from 9:30 -10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
