Kathryn LaMarr Evett

Kathryn LaMarr Evett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on December 10, 2019. Kathryn was born September 23, 1930 in Raymond, Alberta. She was the second of four daughters born to William and Leona Lamarr. She was raised in various parts of western Canada and graduated from High School in Creston, BC. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Spokane, Washington. It was there that she met Donald Evett at a USO dance. They were married in 1952, later solemnized in the Swiss Temple. Together they had 5 children: Linda Beckstead (John), Gary (Lisa), Cindy Forsgren (Rob), David, Donald (Mardi), 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. After travelling worldwide due to Don’s military career, the family settled in Bountiful in 1977. She was preceded in death by daughter Linda and her husband, Don.

Kathryn loved art, studied painting and drawing, decorating and cooking. She loved to entertain and serving in her various church and civic duties. Her greatest calling was that of a wife, mother and homemaker. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2019 at the LDS Chapel located at 965 Oakwood Drive in Bountiful, with a viewing held before from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

A Viewing willbe held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
