Kay S Jensen, age 86, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah. He was born on December 11, 1934, in Redmond, Utah to parents, Chris and Phoebe Jensen. Kay grew up in Redmond, Utah. Kay married Joline Shiner, his high school sweetheart, in the Manti Temple. Together they had four children, Trent, Nanette, Jennifer, and Chris. Joline passed away in 1975. He married Evelyn Zesiger in 1976. Evelyn had four children, Dale, Scot, Cindy, and Guy. They moved to North Salt Lake in 1976 where he lived until his passing.
Kay worked many years in the electronics industry in the Salt Lake Area, notably for Litton Data Systems and Evans & Sutherland. Kay loved to work on his home and the cabin he had near Heber, Utah. He loved to fish and was a huge Utah Jazz fan. Kay had many friends (many lifelong) and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Phoebe Jensen, his daughters Nanette Hepworth and Jennifer Johnston, his son Chris Jensen, and his daughter Cindy Stanger.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, sons Trent (Barbara) Jensen, Dale (Cathy) Zesiger, Scot Zesiger, and Guy (Wendy) Zesiger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the North Salt Lake LDS Chapel, 351 Lofty Lane, where a viewing will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment – Lakeview Cemetery.
