Kaye Parrish

September 14, 1951 — February 23, 2013

Kaye Parrish passed away peacefully on February 23, 2013. She was born September 14, 1951 in Heber City, Utah to James G. and Elma Sargent Parrish. They moved to Centerville, Utah when she was young and she spent her childhood there on the family farm. She graduated from Viewmont High School in 1969.

Kaye was the oldest of five children and after the passing of her mother Elma, was given many responsibilities at a young age. This helped her develop the gift she had for compassion and nurturing. Everyone who knew Kaye quickly felt her loyalty, love, empathy and genuineness.

She was adored by her nieces and nephews: Collin, Matt, Lauren, Travis, Claire, Adam and Preston. She loved playing games, sharing her life’s experiences and preparing her infamous sugar cookies and salsa for them.

Kaye is survived by her sister, Patty Friend and brothers, Norm (Kaye G.), Mark (LeeAnn) and Doug(Charlotte). Preceded in death by her parents James G., Elma and Grace.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah.

Heartfelt thanks to all of Kaye’s caregivers, particularly the staff at Avalon Care Center.

In lieu of flowers, we believe that Kaye would like you to donate to a favorite charity or to take a small gift to someone who is home bound or ill.
