SYRACUSE, UT – Kayleen Bateman Scoville, born on September 4, 1950 in Akron, Colorado, passed away on May 3, after a valiant battle with Alzheimers. Kayleen was the daughter of Mary Louise Hawkins Bateman Butterfield, Bertin Kyle Bateman and Mahonri Trussler Butterfield. Kayleen is the second of five children. She is survived by her siblings: Gary (Sylvia) Butterfield, DeAnn (Granger) Oliekan, Blair (Susan) Butterfield and Layne (Donna) Butterfield. She married Dwight Stevens Scoville on April 1, 1971 in the Logan Utah Temple. Together they adopted four children: Michelle (Bryan) Hull, Syracuse, UT, Terry, Roland, IA , Steve, SLC, UT, Stacy (Erik) Shaffer, Ogden,UT. She has 6 granddaughters: Kylee, Kenzie, Lexi, Madori, Kali, Lemon. She loved her job as a social worker, sewing and served many church callings. Kayleen was full of love, understanding, generosity and dedicated her life to making others’ lives easier. She is proceeded in death by her mother, both fathers, and husband.
Viewing will be held at the Russon Brothers Mortuary at 1941 North Main St. Farmington, UT 84025 on May 13. Friends and family may visit from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at the LDS church located on 1000 W. 2679 S., Syracuse on May 14 at 11:00 am, with a viewing before from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will be at Logan City Cemetery.
