At age 60, returned peacefully to her Father In Heaven on March 19, 2015, after a short valiant struggle with a Glioblastoma (Cancerous brain tumor). Kayln lived a purposeful and unselfish life. She was a worthy instrument in the hands of her Heavenly Father and blessed the lives of all who knew her. Kayln was always looking outside herself and was more concerned about others' needs than her own.
Kayln was born on November 26, 1954 to Charlene Lamb Cornwall and Stuart A. Cornwall. She was the second child but oldest daughter of seven children. She grew up in Tremonton, Utah, graduating from Seminary and Bear River High School in May of 1973. She graduated from Bryman Dental Associates School in Salt Lake City, Utah, and began working as a dental assistant for Dr. Richard Smart, DDS.
While in Salt Lake City, she met the love of her life, Ralph Vernon Ryan and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on July 23, 1975.
Kayln and Vern made their home in West Bountiful, Utah, where they raised their family and lived for the last thirty years. They enjoyed traveling together with friends and family to many interesting places.
Kayln also worked as a reservationist for Eastern Airlines and Delta Airlines, from which she retired. Most recently she worked for the Veterans Administration as a Veterans Service Representative where she had many dear friends and loved being part of the Honeybadger Team.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kayln served in many callings throughout her life: Relief Society President, Activities Committee, Primary, Young Women and most recently as Primary President in the West Bountiful 7th Ward.
Family meant everything to Kayln and she would go to great lengths to attend family get-togethers and important events. Her home was a gathering place of peace, refuge and delicious meals lovingly prepared for all who entered. Her ward family was cherished as her own and she loved and served them as such. Kayln will be dearly missed by all who knew her due to her love, kindness and generosity.
Kayln is survived by her husband, Vern Ryan, three children and three grandchildren, – Richard Louis Ryan (Sara Dutson) son Carson; Christine Ryan Tibbets (Timmy), son Brody Anderson; and Robert Stuart Ryan (Brittany Eggett) daughter Brooke Lynn. She is survived by brothers Dustin and Travis; sisters Kim, Kerrie, and Kisha along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Kayln is preceded in death by her brother, Shane D. Cornwall, and her parents.
