Keith Ramon Criddle died September 12, 2022, at his home in Bountiful, Utah from lymphoma. He was born May 8, 1939, in Ogden, Utah to Carl Linford Criddle and Lyra Diana Fowers. He grew up on a farm in Syracuse, Utah. His father died when Keith was 14, so he always had a summer job to help with his Mom and 4 siblings. He attended Syracuse Elementary, North Davis Jr. High and Davis High Schools. He graduated from Weber College, attended BYU and graduated from University of Utah with a degree in accounting.
He was employed at Mountain Fuel Supply (later Questar Corp) and was manager of the tax department at the time of his retirement in 1998.
He served a mission in the Western States Mission 1959-61. He served a senior mission with his wife, Lewilla, in the Massachusetts Boston Mission 1998-99.
He married Lewilla Averett on June 21, 1962, in the Salt Lake Temple and they were sealed by Elder Boyd K. Packer.
He was a life-long BYU fan, watching or listening to every football or basketball game he possibly could.
The love of his life was serving in the temple. He was a temple worker for nearly 30 years, first in the Salt Lake Temple and later in the Bountiful Temple. He served until August 2022 when his illness caused him to end his service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Belva Nance, Howard Criddle, and LaVerne Criddle. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Stringham, great-grandson Irwin Daniel and a son-in-law, Michael Dunman. He is survived by his wife, Lewilla, and 5 children, Kris (Daniel) Patrick, Sherri (Dwight) Stringham, Karen (Brooke) Anderson, Roger (Becky) Criddle, and Sandi Dunman (Dennis) Bromley; also 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, LaVerl W. (Kathy) Criddle.
His life was spent in service to his family, neighbors, ward and stake, temple and to his Savior.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Val Verda Stake Center, 2600 South 500 West, Bountiful, Utah where a viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 pm prior to services.
Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and on this obituary page. The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the service and will be posted below.
