Keith David Love

August 26, 1928 — December 19, 2016

Keith David Love passed away on December 19, 2016 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born August 26, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John and Maude (Brown) Love. He was the younger brother to John Robert and Lucille Maude. Keith was nine months old when his father passed away, which taught him the necessity of hard work at a very young age. He started getting paid for jobs at nine years of age and promptly filled the role of caring for his mother and family; this left little time for fun but fishing, hunting, and sports grew to be passions for life. Although Keith was shy and close to very few, he and his fishing buddy for life, Bob Jensen, could wreak some havoc! He briefly served in the Air Force in 1947, stationed at Edwards Air Force Base, until he was released due to family hardship. Keith didn't date much but when he found “the one”, she was a “doozy!” He married his eternal sweetheart, Sarah Ellen Miller, in the Salt Lake Temple on January 23, 1948. Together they had seven children, David Love (Kathy), Jack Love (Sherrie), Lois Saltzgiver (Larry), Shauna Witte, Debbie Stubbs (Kirk), Barbara Wallin (Craig), and Karen Long (Mark), 17 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. Whatever hat Keith was wearing – son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor, friend, or Ute fan (he attended games for 76 years) – it was with quiet wisdom, equal strength and love, and whoot-whoot-whoot when needed! He is survived by his wife, children, and many grandchildren. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his mother, both siblings, and a granddaughter, Shanna Leigh Stubbs.
A viewing will be held December 27th at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., also at Russon Brothers.
