Keith East returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on November 4, 2011. Born on March 6, 1930 to Delbert and Dorcas East, Keith was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Shortly after graduating from Davis High School, he married Mary Beth Harker on January 17, 1953. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 18, 1954. After Marys passing, he fell in love and married Linda G. Whittier Collard on December 27, 2002. Their union was sealed in the Bountiful Temple on December 27, 2003. Keith was employed by Davis County Ready Mix, IML Trucking and Foss Lewis Gravel. He gained a solid reputation for his cement finish work throughout Davis County. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served eighteen years as the Chapel Park Bowery caretaker. He thoroughly enjoyed serving in the Bishopric for the Bountiful LifeCare Center and as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple. Keith was well-known for his dedication and service to others and gave countless hours to Meals on Wheels and the Bountiful Senior Center. He loved his tractors and could be seen on snowy days clearing the driveways of neighbors and pulling the hay wagon for the Fourth of July Neighborhood Parade. No favor was too large and many were given without anyones asking. His garage was a favorite place where he could fix anything. He was greatly admired for selfless giving of time, resources and support. He was often referred to as a gentlemans gentleman whose strong values defined his character. With humor, he could lift the spirits of most. Horses were fundamental to Keiths life, and there was rarely a time when he could not gaze upon a horse through his family room window. He passed this legacy and love on to his children and grandchildren. Keith is survived by wife Linda; son Jim (Bonnie) East, daughter Robyn (Kirk) Barfuss; step children Tony (Wendy) Collard, Annette (Travis) Godfrey, Kent (Brenda) Collard and Candice Collard; fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors.
