Keith Wilbur Jackson

Bountiful – Mr. Keith Wilbur Jackson, 96, passed away April 16, 2024, due to incidents relating to age.

Keith was born February 22, 1928, in Rupert, Idaho, the son of Orin Lee and Ruth Ellen Rupp Jackson.

Keith would grow up in Paul, Idaho, where he attended school and worked in farming as a youth. He was drafted into the military in 1946 at the age of 18 and even though World War II had ended, he would serve as a paratrooper and in an office working to help members in the military finish high school and get their GED.

He married Shirley May Harper on February 12, 1948, in Paul, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of 10 children, and Shirley would pass away in 1984 of cancer. He married Darlene Jones in 1985 and she would pass away in 2005.

He lived in Paul, Idaho, from 1928 until 1952, in Washington State from 1953 to 1965, in Burley, Idaho, from 1965 to 1968, and in Bountiful, Utah, since 1968.

He was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many positions, most notably as an instructor.

Surviving are his ten children, eight sons and two daughters: Craig Lee (Beverly) Jackson, Sandy, Utah; Lonna Jean (Jerry) Sadler, Bountiful, Utah; Alan Keith (Deb) Jackson, West Jordan, Utah; Chris Regan (Robyn) Jackson, Farr West, Utah; Logan H. (Shauna) Jackson, Boise, Idaho; Clyde Marlin (Helen) Jackson, Plain City, Utah; Leslie Orin (Mary) Jackson, Arkansas; Murray Lin Jackson, Bountiful, Utah; Vaughn Reese (Rebecca) Jackson, Illinois; and Marie Louise (John) Buchanan, Bountiful, Utah. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, as well as both Shirley May Harper, his first wife, and Darlene Jones, his second wife.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the following location:

Bountiful, UT

An evening viewing will take place from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main in Bountiful, with another viewing Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
