He was born on March 1, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Eldon Glover Johnson and Phebe Brown Woodruff.
Keith grew up in Bingham and Copperton Utah. Bingham High was so small Keith knew all who attended there by name. He worked hard as a child and teen, to save money for his great car. He attended BYU and then worked at Kennecott Copper and became a millwright. He worked there for 30 years. As a dedicated member of the LDS church he served in many positions. Keith said his greatest calling was serving at the Davis County jail, teaching the gospel to the inmates. Keith loved the wilderness and spent time hiking long miles. He loved animals and wildlife. His joy always was his children and step children and all family members. He tried to live a strong, spiritual and moral life.
Keith married Angela Elaine Yeager on November 4, 1962. They had nine children together. Later, they divorced and he married June Swaner Randolph-Seng on May 13, 1996. They were later sealed in the Bountiful temple on February 14, 1997. He gained three step children.
