Ken was born November 21, 1930, in Tremonton, Utah. Ken had a wonderful childhood in Garland, UT working on the family farm. He told many stories about his time as a child working in the sugar beet fields and living in the big white house across from the sugar factory on Factory Street. His parents ran a boarding house for people visiting and working at the factory. He was a proud graduate of Bear River High School in 1949 where he was very popular and participated in many sports. He particularly enjoyed his time as quarterback.
Ken later earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Utah State Agricultural College in 1954. He graduated in the top 25% of his class.
Ken Married Carleen Hall in 1949. They had six children together and later divorced. Ken met his sweetheart Deanna Beck Pack and they married in 1970. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1987. They worked hard to blend two families together.
He was also a great fan of BYU Football and the Utah Jazz. Ken worked for Questar Gas as Assistant Treasurer and retired after 32 years in 1990.
Ken settled his family in Centerville, Utah where he later proudly served as a Centerville City Councilman.
Ken was an active Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many capacities. He served two missions with his sweetheart Deanna. The first in the Samoa Apia Mission 1995-1997, the second in the Illinois Nauvoo Mission 2000-2002. Ken spoke of these missions often and was proud to be a representative of his Savior Jesus Christ.
