Kenneth Dale Robinson, aged 77, died January 23, 2017 in Woods Cross, Utah. He was born October 10, 1939 to Albert and Mary Evelyn “Eva” Robinson in Salt Lake.
He married Linda J Kellogg in 1959 and they were married for 57 years. He is survived by his wife Linda and sons Dale (Kathy) and Doug (Kathy), their son Kenneth Daniel (Jess) preceded him in Dec 2015. His Brother Ed (Karla) and Linda’s sisters Marcia (Dennis-deceased) and Rae (Tom), along with 7 grand children and 2 great grand children.
Ken was an outstanding Scout and Leader earning his Eagle Scout at the age of 13. He graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City and was in the Navy including tours in Kodiak Alaska and San Diego on the USS Ticonderoga. After the Navy he continued his Scouting work as Cub master for Pack 358 in N. Salt Lake for many years and organized the Great Salt Lake Council Cub Scout Annual Pow Wow for several years while earning the Silver Beaver and Wood Badge. He was a Journeyman Machinist (Diesel Mechanic) member of Machinists Union Local 1020 and was their business representative for nearly 10 years. His career included time at Clark Tank Lines, PIE, Consolidated Freightways and following retirement in 2002, he worked until mid 2016 at Smiths Food and Drug in Kaysville.
Ken was a “do it all” kind of man and his sons follow in his larger than life footsteps.
