Kenneth Richard Jamieson passed away on April 1, 2024 at home. He had celebrated his 73rd birthday and 51st wedding anniversary at Huntsman Cancer Hospital where he was a patient.
He was born Feb. 16, 1951 in Murray to Harold Kenneth and Alta Sampson Jamieson. He graduated from Granite High School in 1969. Ken served an LDS mission to Scotland, where he learned of his Scottish heritage. At the end of his mission he made his way back to Utah wearing his kilt. Ken married Rebecca Stahle on March 16, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Ken and Rebecca made their home in Kaysville, raising their four children and serving their neighbors. He served in many church callings in the Kaysville 7th Ward but especially loved serving the Young Adults and at the Apple Tree Branch. He attended Utah Technical College where he learned the HVAC trade and worked in commercial refrigeration. He retired in 2019 from Refrigeration Supplies Distributers after 32 years. Retirement was a little too boring so he spent the past few years working part time at Ace Hardware in Kaysville, alongside his daughter and two grandchildren.
He was an ASA umpire for 15 years before he became an avid hockey fan. He loved watching his sons play hockey. He loved fishing, riding his ATV and spending time with family. As a grandpa, he made it an effort to attend every game or concert the grandchildren were involved in.
Ken is survived by his wife Rebecca, children Matthew (Sherri) Jamieson, Brian (Kelly) Jamieson, Stacie (Michael) Tuttle and Andrea (James) Jeppson. He is the proud grandpa to Micayla Jamieson, Caleb Jamieson, Derek (Alex) Jamieson, Brody Jamieson, Siera Jamieson, Delanie Tuttle, Adimae Tuttle, Connor Jeppson, Parker Jeppson and Afton Jeppson; and two great-grandchildren, Khloe and Cooper Jamieson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Saundra Hinerman.
