Kenneth G Jones took the night train to meet with Ramona on June 24th 2013. Ken, was born October 15th 1917 in Tucson, Arizona. Ken was the middle child, and only son, of Kenneth and Margaret Jones.
Ken spent his childhood roaming barefoot around the foothills of Ogden, Utah with his dog Tippy. He met the love of his life in Junior high, and after being in the Navy for a year sent for her. Ramona traveled cross country by train to Norfolk, Virginia to be married on October 21st 1936.
Ken remained in the Navy until 1939. After learning how to telegraph he went on to work for Union Pacific Railroad until retirement when he was 60. During these years they raised together three children.
With retirement Ken and Ramona were able to take time to travel the world, including their favorite place Yellowstone National park. After traveling they were happy to return to their home in Bountiful, Utah, where Ken enjoyed working in his garden growing blue ribbon large banana squash.
Ken is survived by his three children: Bill (Georgia), Bob, Vicki (Jess); grandchildren: Jenny (Tony), Joseph (Jasper); great grandchildren: Kylie, Sydney, Jaren, & Jessy; and sister Pat (Dale).
