Surrounded by love, Kent passed away on May 27, 2019. Noel Kent Davis finished his fight after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born on December 25, 1948 to Mary Cecelia Whitaker and David Orvil Davis. He was born the youngest of 10 children in Brigham City, Utah after his mother finished her Christmas lunch.
He married his “Angel”, Jeri Urry, on March 2, 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was full of love and happiness. He is the father of 3 children, Shaun Davis (Amy), Nicole Jones (Kevin), Cami Peterson (Steve) and 10 grandchildren, Kristen, Derek, Katelyn, Arianna, Adam, Whitney, Megen, Sariah, Sam and Connor. He recently became a great-grandfather which brought him so much joy.
Kent was drafted into the military right after graduation. He served in Korea during the Vietnam War. Shortly after he returned home, his father passed away. He stayed home to help provide for his mother until his marriage.
He was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years and Peterson’s Inc. for 15 years, at which time he stopped working due to a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.
His greatest accomplishment was being a kind, sweet father and grandfather. The traits we will miss the most are compassion and Christ-like love for others.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings LaRue, Deverlle, Wayne, Carol and Betty.
Kent is survived by wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and his siblings Colleen, Janet, Dick, and David.
