Kent Merrill Lindsey passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home Saturday, March 3, 2007. Born in Toponce, Idaho July 8, 1932 to Evalyn Perkins Smith and Roy Lindsey. Married the late Marian Hepworth. Later divorced. Married Deanna Rae Seager Leonard, November 10, 1969. Kent graduated from Davis High School and attended Utah State University. He was involved in sports. He loved golf. He served on the Centerville City Council for 2 terms from 1986 – 1994. He was a member of the Jaycee?s. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the bishopric and on the high council. He held many various callings and currently served as a veil worker at the Bountiful LDS Temple. Kent was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved and cherished his dear wife Deanna. Survived by his wife, Deanna; his mother, Evalyn Smith of 96 years; children, Debra Scott Workman, Bret Lindsey, Rick Jone Leonard, Jeff Peggy Lindsey, Sherri Leonard, Sandy Tom Walker and Dan Jeralee Leonard; 4 brothers and 1 sister; 27 grandchildren an 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Howard and step-father, Ben Smith. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 12:00 noon at the Centerville 11th Ward Chapel, 270 North 300 East. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday morning from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
