Kerry Elizabeth Crowley

October 15, 1971 — September 9, 2015

Kerry Elizabeth Crowley was born on October 15, 1971 to Bruce and Karen Allgood in Boulder, Colorado. After moving to Arizona and Maryland, their family settled in Bountiful, Utah when she was 13 years old. She was a typical teenager and loved her friends but she was already determined to be an amazing musician.  Kerry graduated from Bountiful High School in 1989 then went on to Brigham Young University to earn her BA in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in just 4 years. She was a dedicated piano teacher for over 20 years. She met her husband Kent in 1991 at a YSA activity in Bountiful and they were married in June of 1992. He was the man of her dreams and gifted her with a piano for their wedding.  Kerry used her musical talents to bless all who listened to her, be it at church, at recitals, or in the walls of her home.  Their three children, Katy, Josh, and Becca, came to their family in the first home they built in Lindon, Utah.  Katy was born in October of 1993, Josh in November of 1995, and Becca was born in May of 1997. In 1998 they moved to North Bend, Washington where they lived for 13 years. This is where Kerry grew to love hiking with her 3 children and husband.  Hiking was a daily activity, come rain or shine (mostly rain).  Her edict to the children was that if they woke her up before 9am on a Saturday, they were going hiking with her.  Her children fondly remember all the adventures that she planned for their family to do, from going to the zoo to whale watching to skiing, they were always doing something fun. In the midst of these adventures, she developed her talents for cooking, her eye for photography, and her love for scrapbooking her memories. Her family will cherish all the costumes she made, all the blankets she quilted, all the massages she gave, all the food she cooked, all the music she played, but mostly we will miss just being with her and her legacy of Christlike love.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 14th at 12:00 noon, South Jordan Highland Stake Center, 10224 South 4000 West, South Jordan, UT where a viewing will be held Sunday, September 13th from 6-8pm, and prior to the service on Monday from 10:45-11:45am. Interment will be held later that afternoon at Lakeview Cemetery, Bountiful, UT. A memorial fund has been set up in her honor at www.gofundme.com/9s3smeyg
