Kimberly Lynn Nelson Molino

July 12, 1958 — January 12, 2025

Kimberly Lynn Nelson Molino was born on July 12, 1958 in Orange County, CA to Rodney Nelson and Shirlene Severin. Kim was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father and her grandson Everett.

She is survived by her five children: Silas (Anne), Elizabeth (Thomas), Zachary (Aleesha), Natalie, and Sarah (Zebediah); and thirteen grandchildren: Hayden, Holland, Xander, Brooklyn, LaKai, Zoe, Clara, Alan, Calvin, Owen, Leah, Naomi, and Quinn.

Kim LIVED for her family. She did everything for family. On September 2, 1980, Kim married Alexander Molino in Redlands, CA. In the next five years they welcomed five children. She and Alex were equal in all things and together in all things. Married for 44 years, they still were lovey-dovey as the grandkids were “embarrassed” to see. With everyday kisses, temple attendance, scripture reading, prayer, watching murder mysteries, and talking about anything and everything, they were a great example of devotion and commitment. When her children came along, she dedicated herself to motherhood. She worked in the home so she could be with them. She helped with hair, homework, school PTA, cooking, carpooling, applications and kept them on schedule, and with five teenagers at the same time, most days it was a no easy feat. When grandkids came into the family they became her world. She loved spending time with them, watching them play, talking with them, and took them to one of her favorite places (Disneyland). Traveling often between California and Utah she rarely missed a grandchild’s big accomplishment. They each had a special place in her heart. “Making Family Memories” was her motto and her family is grateful for the many, many, many pictures she took to remind everyone of the good times. As the oldest of six siblings, she was very fond of her extended family and looked forward to births, marriages, and family reunions, always speaking fondly of them.

Kim LOVED the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She knew Him. She knew she was a daughter of God. She was an amazing example of testimony and faith. She was a regular temple attendee and loved doing work for her ancestors. She served diligently in many church callings, making many wonderful friends. Her home was one of peace and happiness. She was a perfect example of sticking to the covenant path knowing Heavenly Father has a plan and everything would work out the way it should. Her commitment to the Gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints carried her through countless trials. She trusted in Jesus Christ, His timing, and His perfect atonement.

Kim found JOY in service. Even at the end when her knees were weak and she couldn’t hear she served with her whole heart always finding ways to serve. Due to her constant service, it became the Molino family way of life. Sometimes she would volunteer or encourage her husband or children to serve with something because she knew (and she was right) that they would never regret it. She understood the impact of helping in even the smallest way. She was wonderful with children, knitting, cross-stitching, coupon shopping, and baking and she used these hobbies to serve all who needed it. She found joy in being Christ’s hands to help others.

With her sudden passing, we will always remember her goodness, her smile, her kind eyes, her gentle voice. Her family cannot wait to be reunited with her and feel her again.
