Kristine Murphy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 9,1948. She was the daughter of William and Bessie Gladys Pryor Murphy. Kristine passed away in Layton, Utah on December 28,2024. She was the youngest of four children. Patricia Murphy, Nielson (Ted), Richard Murphy (Connie), and Michael Murphy(Barbara). She is survived by her brother, Richard Murphy.
Kristine was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. She was the Sunday school secretary for many years. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, needle pointing, cross-stitching, word search puzzles, and traveling with her family. She liked to study and read everything. Earlier in her life, she enjoyed going to the library and the movies with her friends. Her favorite place was St. George but she lived her life in the Salt Lake City area.
When she was younger, she worked at Holiday Inn. Most of her career was with Unisys, an electronics company, where she spent 15 years. Her brother, Richard, helped her decide to go to Salt Lake Community College. It was a good experience. After, she pent the rest of her career at OC Tanner Jewelry in Salt Lake City.Kristine lived in Rose Park in her parent’s home for most of her life and then she moved to Bountiful. Kris spent the last decade of her life in her own apartment in Layton where she enjoyed her independence. She often talked about her love for her family.She will be remembered for her cheerfulness and delightful sense of humor.
