LaMar Jenkins

March 5, 1938 — November 16, 2011

LaMar Walton Jenkins passed away suddenly on November 16, 2011 due to complications from surgery; he was at his home. He was 73 years old. He was born March 5, 1938 to Clarence and Merlin Jenkins, descendants of John Taylor. He was born in Woods Cross, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Sam. LaMar is survived by his wife, Angela, his three brothers Alan, Wayne, Paul, his ten children Clarence, Julia (David), Shannon (Alysha), Ammonia (Jamie), Hans (Cindy), Jerome (Angela), Maurice (Kristi), Ian, Marlin, Abba and 16 grandchildren. LaMar had many amazing accomplishments in his life; among those were achieving the rank of First Lieutenant in the Army National Guard and a Generals assistant. He was a pilot, assisted in developing oil wells and was involved with Morris Air and Jet Blue Airlines. Above all, he was the most patient man anyone knew and the greatest husband and father of all time. Funeral services will be held at the Bountiful 16th Ward, 720 East 550 North, Bountiful, Utah at 1:00 p.m., Saturday November 19, 2011, where a viewing will be held 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to services, under the direction of Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery 1640 East Lakeview Drive Bountiful, Utah.
