LaNaun Swift

August 19, 1948 — August 17, 2021

In loving memory of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.  Momma passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the age of 72.  Her gentle sweet spirit and kind nature drew in many friends, family, and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Her life began on August 19, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, the second of two children of J Rollo Hall and Betty Arlene Porter Hall Ewing.  She met her college sweetheart and was sealed in the Salt Lake LDS temple on September 3, 1970.  She was always up for an adventure or good time with anyone.  She was always happy and positive without any complaints.  She also has a witty sense of humor and often surprised us with her quick comebacks.

She enjoyed her church callings but especially being in the nursery and her most recent calling as the Baptism Coordinator.  She enjoyed working with the young children of the ward.

She had many loves in life with most of them surrounding her family, so much that she retired her paying job at the IRS to work for free watching her grandchildren.  She loved going to her grandkid’s sports games and school events every chance she got. She loved giving her sons-in-law grief at Christmas time as she was known to give coal as a gift if ever they disagreed with her.

The only thing in life she didn’t love was cheese and anything spicy – even Ketchup was too spicy on most occasions.

LaNaun is survived by her husband Gary Lee Swift; her children Shereen (Lyle) Zaugg, Tonya Nielsen, Ryan (Cassie) Swift, Michelle (Jordan) Robison; nine grandchildren: Taylor, Colton, Landon, Aedan, Bryatt, Gabe, Raygan, Daxon, Harper; three great-grandchildren; her brother Garry Hall.

Family and friends may visit at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1940 N. 1075 W., Farmington, Utah on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and 9:45am-10:45am on Saturday.  Funeral Services will be held at the Spencer Ward Meetinghouse at 500 South Main Street, Kaysville, Utah at 11:00am.  Interment at Kaysville City Cemetery, Kaysville, Utah.
