LaPreal Lublin

LaPreal Lublin, 84, passed away on May 7, 2014. She was born on December 3, 1929 in Salt lake City, Utah to Lewis Mormon Wight and Anna Katherine Larsen. We all loved her happy disposition and the way she enjoyed life. On December 4, 1972 she married the love of her life, Raymond S Lublin. They shared a very happy life and enjoyed traveling, golf, and serving in the Bountiful temple together. Ray died on October 18, 2002. Lapreal is a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served an LDS mission to Australia and has served in many church callings, but her favorite was that of Primary President. LaPreal had a passion for doing genealogy work and has connected many families together through her hard work. For over 25 years she was employed by the Utah State Office of Education as their administrative secretary. Skilled at short hand, she was able to accurately record hours worth of board meetings. A favorite hobby of LaPreals was cross-stitching. Beautiful pieces of art were created by her hands and many of them were awarded with ribbons as they were entered into the Utah State Fair. She will be missed by family and friends, but we take comfort and joy in knowing that LaPreal is now home, spending time with Ray, her parents, and all of her siblings who preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister in law, Bea Reese, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even great-great nieces and nephews. Her family would like to thank her neighbors, ward family and the wonderful staff at Heritage Place who cared for her in her final years.

Friends and family can visit Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the Ricks Creek LDS Chapel, 1451 North 50 East, Centerville, starting at 11:00, with a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45. Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, following the funeral services.
