Laramie Scott Bradbury

Laramie Scott Bradbury passed away August 7, 2018 surrounded by his family and friends. Born July 6, 1988 he was the third child of Scott and Julie Bradbury. LarBud was a chef from the beginning, at a very young age he loved to prepare food and could tell you what a dish was made with and what it needed. He was a tinkerer who loved working with his hands. He enjoyed fishing and was always willing to swap fly-tying tricks and fish tales with his older brother and friends. He was a home body who loved his family deeply. Laramie was always happy to see you. He'd greet you with a bear hug and a big grin. He was patient, kind and loving. Just ask his little brother whom he shared a room with growing up about all the nights Laramie would be waiting in the dark to scare the socks off his siblings.
Laramie graduated from Bountiful High in 2006 and after working at Settebello Pizzeria for a few years, decided he would go to culinary arts school in Portland, Oregon. He graduated the Oregon Culinary Institute in 2012. After working at several restaurants in Portland, he decided to move to California where he helped open several of the newest Settebello restaurants. He was passionate about cooking and often told his mom she needed to use every pan in the kitchen and way more salt if she wanted to cook as well as he did! Laramie traveled many places as a chef; the beaches of Mexico where he made fresh brick oven pizzas, Florida as a personal chef, but one of his favorite gigs was cooking carbonara for his sister.
Laramie worked hard and played hard. He worked many, many hours and often forgot to take time for himself. As a true spitting image of his dad, he was always willing to pick up a shovel, or rake, or spatula and help where help was needed.
Laramie first became an uncle in 2007 and again for the eighth time this year. Being Uncle Lar was something he took great pride in and took very seriously. Laramie wanted to be the best uncle he could be. He loved his nieces and nephews more than anything in this world. He took the time to check in on each of them. He knew what each of them needed and he was always there for them. They will miss him deeply.
Laramie faced hardships and struggles in his life, some we will never know or understand because he was always the one to ask you how you were doing and how your day was.
Laramie's coworkers became friends and his friends quickly became family. For your thoughts, concern, care and love for LarBud, we welcome you to our family and thank you with all our heart.
Laramie is preceded in death by his Grandpas, Jay Goodman and Frank Bradbury. He is survived by his grandmothers Joyce Goodman and Joy Bradbury. His amazing parents, Scott and Julie. His three loving siblings, Dallas (Jessica), Shiann (Bret) and Jerome (Courtney). His eight adoring nieces and nephews, Haylee, Camden, Maycie, Bailey, Boston, Porter, Brighton and McCall. Many aunts, uncles cousins and friends. Last but not least he leaves behind his sneaky dog Kita.
Funeral services for Laramie will be held Saturday August 11 at the Bountiful 2nd Ward, 650 South 200 East, Bountiful Utah at 1:00 pm. where viewings will be held Friday, August 10 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 11:45-12:45.
