LaRayne Peterson Frome

Our beloved mother, LaRayne Peterson Frome, returned to our Heavenly Father, surrounded by her four loving children, on June 4, 2015 after suffering a massive stroke.  LaRayne was born April 21,1933 to Levar and Hortense Peterson in Holden, Utah.  She was the second of six children.  She grew up in Fillmore, where she learned to be a hard-working farm girl.  She graduated from Millard High School in 1951.  She met her husband, Robert Frome while attending BYU.  They were married in April 1955 and later divorced.  They made their home in Bountiful.  
    She was an active member of the LDS church, and served most recently in the Bountiful Temple for more than 10 years.  She was an officer in the DUP.  She loved quilting, sewing, cooking, travelling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She could be seen watching  almost every grandchild's game or event.    
    Her father, mother, brother Robert, and sister Cherril preceded her in death.  She is survived by her sister Ruth Lichfield, Brother John (Corinne), sister Bobette Bushnell, & sister-in-law Sherry Paxton.
    LaRayne's legacy continues with son, Keith (Wendy) Albany, Oregon; daughters, Valerie (Randy) Veigel, Layton; Melanie (Mike) Shepherd, Centerville; Natalie (Jack) Hattaway, Bountiful; 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.  She also leaves a legacy of selfless service, sacrifice and endearing love!    
    Funeral services will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 in the Bountiful 30th Ward chapel located at 2150 S. 650 E. at 11:00. Viewings will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Russon Brother's Mortuary 295 N. Main, Bountiful and from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service at the church.
