Our dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend died peacefully in her home in the early morning hours on Friday, June 15, 2012, surrounded by family. She fought cancer valiantly for 44 months. LaRene was born on January 17, 1951, in Coalville, Utah, the fourth of five children born of Fay Edwin Richins and Clyda Bair. She attended Viewmont High School where she met her lifelong sweetheart, Marvin Orson Ellis. They were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 12, 1970. Together they reared six children and have 18 grandchildren. She became a real estate broker, restaurant owner, writer and lecturer. Three of her Stones’ Quest books have been published with book four coming out shortly and book five in the final stages of editing. She was in the process of writing the prequel to the series when she passed away. She has also written and published How to Rebuild Shattered Dreams, the story of her life. She has also given many lectures that stem from her life experiences. LaRene is survived by her husband, Marvin O.
