Biography

Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and friend, Larry Eugene Dickerson, age 78, resident of Centerville, UT, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2014.
Born November 22, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Son of Floye Virginia Potter and Arnold LeRoy Dickerson. Married Sally Ann Christiansen on August 29, 1958 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Larry graduated from Brigham Young University in Mechanical Engineering. Employed and retired from Hercules Inc. after 32 years. Larry was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. Larry enjoyed building, gardening, and spending time in the great outdoors with his family. His family was his proudest joy and achievement. You could always find him playing with his grandkids, or helping someone in need. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. His kindness made others feel loved and welcome. Larry took a piece of our hearts with him and will be greatly missed.
Survived by his loving wife Sally Ann (Christiansen) Dickerson; children: Jon (Kim), Dianne, Joel (Jena), Jim (Debbie); son-in-law Brad Heaps; 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister Anita Cordner (Dean). Preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sue Heaps, and great-grandson, Kayden.
Funeral services will be held on his 79th birthday, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Centerville 5th Ward Chapel, 270 North 300 East, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Orem City Cemetery.
