Larry Paul Peterson passed away October 27, 2013 at his home. He was born April 22, 1944 in Columbia, South Carolina to Marian Clyde and Vonda Lou Beutler Peterson. He married Judy Anderson, March 27, 1965 in Koosharem, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on May 23, 1970. Together they welcomed four special children into their lives.
Larry attended school in Richfield, Utah and graduated from Richfield High School in 1962 having excelled in track, basketball and football. He earned a degree in electronics and also attended the University of Utah. He retired after working 47 years as a claims manager for Motor Cargo and found time to serve as president of the Salt Lake Gun Club.
An award winning photographer, an expert wood craftsman, a master stone mason and a selfless server of many individuals, Larry loved to golf, fish, hunt, and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, son Greg, Centerville; sons Matt (Kristin) and Andy, Bountiful; daughter Laurie (Salim) Abi Ezzi, Sammamish, Washington; seven grandchildren; sisters Linda (Ted Lee) Hansen and Marianne (John) Morgan, Richfield; brother Russel (Maureen), Grand Junction, Colorado.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rowland Way LDS chapel, 610 N. Rowland Way, Centerville, Utah. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at the chapel from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Centerville City Cemetery.
