LaRue Mangum Julien, 87, passed away July 29, 2007 surrounded by her husband and loving family. LaRue was born in Bicknell, Utah on January 31, 1920 to Joseph Harvey Mangum and Melinda Johannah Johnson. She loved her life on the farm where she was the youngest of 8 children. LaRue was married to her eternal companion, Kenneth Julien, for 66 years. LaRue was a very kind and caring person, full of love for everyone. She was an excellent reader. She had a quick wit and ready smile and loved her husband, children , grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved and appreciated her neighbors. She was an avid Jazz fan. LaRue was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Relief Society, Young Womens and Primary President. She also served on a mission and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. LaRue is survived by her husband, Ken; her two boys, Stephen Betty of Cedar City, Utah; and Craig Linda of Layton, Utah; her brother, Claud; sisters, Mabel and Mildred; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. LaRue was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Reva and Rita and her brothers, Milton and Clifford. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Oak Hills Chapel, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
