Laura Davis

Laura T. Davis 1912 – 2004

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Laura Troth Davis, age 92, passed away November 4, 2004. We will miss her wit and humor.

Born in SLC, March 30, 1912, as Laura Evelyn Troth, daughter of Alfred Brown and Christina Wright Troth. Graduated from LDS High School in 1930 and attended the University of Utah in 1931. Married James F. Davis in July 31, 1945.

Laura worked for the SLC School Board for 38 years and retired in 1975. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. and member of the Supreme Cootiette Club of the U.S.

Survived by her daughter, Laura Davis Knowlton, two grandchildren and a great-grand son and preceded in death by her husband James, sister Phyllis Smith and brother Alfred Troth.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Russon Brothers Mortuary 225 S. 200 E.. Viewing at 10:45 to 11:45 a.m., service at 12 noon. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. Online guest book and directional maps available at www.russonmortuary.com
