Lauretta Baker

Lauretta was born January 27, 1924 in Helper, UT to Robert and Ethel Duvall. Passed away at the age of 89 on August 28, 2013 in Woods Cross, UT. Married Benjamin Harvey Baker Sr. March 18, 1943 in Grand Junction, CO.
Preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin; brothers, Arland, Duane, and Ferris Duvall; sisters, Glenda Marsing and Virginia McAlister. Survived by sisters, Roberta (Richard) Ariotti and Betty (Clyde) Grames; children, Benetta (Roy) Clegg, Lynda Whetton, Benjamin Jr (Rina), Bruce Baker. She was so proud of her 13 grandchildren she called her Baker’s dozen; 42 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Everybody loved Lauretta’s stories, she always remembered everybody’s birthday and ages. She enjoyed listening to stories of others as well. She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother and cook. She enjoyed planting flowers, crocheting beautiful items, camping, rock hounding, old movies, and going on Sunday drives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Woods Cross LDS Chapel, 1335 West 1500 South. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main and Wednesday morning 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
