Larry passed after a short but intense and painful battle with cancer on September 26, 2015. Born October 26, 1933 to Percy Glen Moss and Ruth Kjeldsen Hackett Moss in Salt Lake City. He was the sixth of seven children and spent his early years in Randolph and Myton, Utah. Most of his life was spent in Centerville where he lived in the family’s historical rock home. Larry graduated from Davis High School in 1952. He married Ann Marie Sorensen in 1953, divorced in 1978. They had three children together, Christine (Mack), Andriea, and Neil (Cari). Larry married Norma Pinneo on August 5, 1983 and gained two more children, Sherri (Troy) and Bobby. Larry and Norma were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 5, 1997. Larry was also known as “Papa” to his grandchildren who he adored, Travis, Erin, Kristen, Julia, Brad, Danny, Rachel, Courtney, Colby, Brooke and Kandice.
Larry worked for Hill AFB for 7 years before working for Unisys/L3 Communications for 35 years as a Mechanical Engineer where he retired in 1991. Larry and Norma were called to serve an LDS mission in England in 2000. Larry always loved working with his hands, restoring the 150 year old pioneer home he lived in and working in the yard, along with many other projects. He also enjoyed helping with countless projects for family, friends and neighbors.
This kind soft spoken man has left behind his wife Norma, 3 children, 2 step-children, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. His furry, faithful companions Yuma and Bria will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; Brothers Calvin, Bob, Billy and Joel Moss; Sisters Carolyn Moss Oswald and Janice Moss, half-brother Ray Hackett, and half-sister Ruth Hackett Lutz.
