"Layne Brent Taylor, born on September 23rd, 1952, was taken home to a better place early in the morning on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 at age 65. He had been suffering for several years with Parkinson's disease, and other health issues. He passed as a result of complications from these issues. Layne was in love with decades past, especially the 50s and 60s. He spent his life collecting anything from music to clothes to soda and beer cans from these days long past. He was a huge fan of classic monster movies and also collected all sorts of models, art pieces, and magazines from all over the country and around the world following famous monsters. He loved history and was always trying to hold a piece of it. From the Titanic to Pompeii, he was always determined to find movies and study what he could of these famous parts of human life. Layne loved nature. He spent years of his life working at Zion's National Park, the Grand Canyon, and spending leisurely afternoons listening to Gerry and the Pacemakers in the hills of Lindsey Gardens Park in Salt Lake City. Layne was a friend to many. He kept in touch with those friends he made as a teen, and the years following throughout his life. He will be missed by all who knew him. He spent the majority of his life residing in the Salt Lake Valley. He is survived by his 5 children, Joseph Michael Taylor, Amber Marie Orduño, Jesse Spencer Taylor, Dallin Michael Taylor, Shaun Presley Taylor, and their respective families."
