Le Grand E Reeder

April 7, 1931 — April 9, 2015

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Le Grand E Reeder, born April 7th, 1931, passed away peacefully at home on April 9th, 2015, two days after his 84th birthday.

He was born in Smithfield to Golden Flatt Reeder and Lois Fontella Bingham Reeder. He was the youngest of 8 children. He attended schools within the Cache County School District.

Le Grand was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held various callings and positions. His primary beliefs were God, Family, and Country; in that order.

He honorably served in the Korean war with his 3 brothers on the front line from 1950 to 1953. It was during a military leave that he met and then later married Leah Dawn Burbank. They were sealed as eternal companions in the Logan Temple on June 3rd, 1953. They cared for each other to the very end. He was her eyes, and she was his ears.

His hobbies and interests included: avid reader, successful businessman and entrepreneur, life long learner, sports fan (Aggies & Jazz), family history. He had a very caring and generous heart. He always rooted for the underdog. His passion in life was his family, they meant everything to him. He will be missed for his constant words of encouragement and positive attitude, as well as his zest for life.

Le Grand  is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Leah Dawn Burbank Reeder and 6 children; Cindy (Lee) Cheney of Stansbury Park; Teresa (Bert) Israelsen of North Logan; Brent (Leslie) Reeder of North Logan; Annette (Steven) Israelsen of North Salt Lake; Mark (Georgia) Reeder of Hyde Park; Kathy (Bryan) Hurst of Centerville; 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, his sister Donna Lou (Richard:deceased) Pitcher; Martin C.(La Faye) Reeder. He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Paul, Lois, Golda, Billy, and Jack; 1 grandson Jeramy Israelsen; and 1 great grandson Jayden Christensen.
