Leola Abston

Leola returned to her Heavenly Father and the loving arms of her parents on September 3, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with many health problems.
Leola was born March 5, 1939 in Mackay, Idaho to Charles Moreland and Artella Jensen Knighton. Leola loved the LDS Church and always had a strong testimony of the Gospel. Leola loved to help people and she struggled with the fact that she was the one who needed help in these recent years.
She married Billy Austin Ford and had two children, Michael and Lisa, who she cherished above all else. Although their marriage was not meant to last, Billy and Leola remained close friends until his death. Leola later married Gilbert Abston.
Leola is survived by her children, Michael Austin Ford, Lisa Lee Hardin, two brothers, Lennis Knighton (Peggy), Ronald Knighton (Shirlee), three sisters, Carolyn Davies, LaRae Mather (Stephen), ReNae Dalton (David), and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Leola was preceded in death by her parents, sister Delores, and husband Gilbert.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012, 12:00noon, at the LDS chapel located at 650 South 200 East in Bountiful, Utah. Burial will take place at the Bountiful City Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the chapel prior to the services from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
