Leona Popp Blotter age 84 passed from this life on March 7, 2016. Leona was born February 3, 1932 in Heber City, Utah to Franz Hyrum Popp and Lucinda Carlile Popp. She spent her childhood years growing up in Heber City and graduated from Wasatch High School. She served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Finland where she met the love of her life. She married Edward Maurice Blotter on September 17, 1959 in the Logan Utah temple. She graduated from LDS Business College.
Leona and Maurice moved to Bountiful, Utah and raised two beautiful daughters, Eliisa Grandstaff (Ron) and Anitta Simpson.
She had many talents. She enjoyed sewing, playing piano and embroidery. She was a member of the Utah Rose Society and spent many hours with Maurice working in their rose garden. Mom enjoyed many hours with the grandchildren helping them learn ABC's, trips to football and basketballs games and fun vacations. She was a very kind and compassionate person and never returned a dish empty.
She was active in the LDS church and served in many positions including working at the Bountiful Temple as an ordinance worker for several years.
She is survived by her daughters, and her sisters Jean Mortensen, Joan Muir, Linda Jensen (Roger), and a brother Lloyd Popp (Anita). 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donita Popp (sister), Gordon Popp (brother) and Jolien McKinney (sister) and two brother-in-laws.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main . A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary and Friday morning from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services . Interment at Morgan (North) Cemetery.
