LeRoy Cecil Taylor

August 19, 1930 — July 19, 2015

LeRoy Cecil Taylor, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all graduated from mortality on Sunday July 19, 2015 at his home in Bountiful, Utah of bladder cancer. Roy was born in McGill, Nevada on August 19, 1930 to Thomas William and Lillian Ivie Taylor.
He grew up in Ruth, Nevada riding his pony Midget, shining shoes in his dad's barbershop and roping calves during the summer months.
He was a graduate of White Pine High School, B.Y.U and University of Utah Medical School. He served in the Air Force as a navigator.
He served as a faithful servant of the Lord in the Central Atlantic States Mission
He married his soul mate Colette Hunt, Feb. 14, 1986, where they were sealed in The Salt Lake Temple. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in many callings culminating with his cherished time as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake and Bountiful Temples.   
In his many years as a beloved family doctor, his skill as an expert diagnostician was exceeded only by his ability to make every patient feel like a friend.  His enormous personality and wealth of knowledge were a significant blessing to many.  He was a force of nature and a storm of a man.
Survived by his loving wife Colette, children: Trudi(Alan) Stark, Debbi Gale, Juliet(Todd) Rogers, Kristina(Doni) Long, Sharise(Steve) Smith, Luann Taylor, Linh Huynh, Royce Taylor and Thomas Taylor. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his parents and sister Colleen Prince Conner.

He was passionate in his love of his family and memories were created by numerous Lake Powell adventures, Front Sight training, hunting excursions and fun-filled Yahtzee tournaments.   His faithful dog, Odin "Odie" Taylor was his constant companion and best friend.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27 at 11:00 AM at Moss Hill Ward, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful, Utah, where friends and family may visit Sunday, July 26, from 6:00-8:00 PM or Monday, July 27, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Moss Hill Ward.
